Once a page has been scaled, you can use the Digitizer A software representation of a physical digitizer device that digitally records the relative position of a cursor which is moved over the area or line that you want to digitize or record. to calculate any area by just clicking the corners of the area you wish to know. Area calculations are saved with the plan and will be loaded whenever or wherever the plan is loaded. You can take multiple areas using this same procedure, and show or hide them in any combination or colors.
Open desired plan page
Click the New button
from the Digitizer Window
The Digitizer dialog appears
Make sure the Area
button 
is selected
Enter the Description for the area. (example: floor plan area)
Choose Color and click OK
Now using the mouse, click the outside points of the wall segment.
To undo last move press the Undo
button 
from the Digitizer window or press the "backspace" key.
After completing the area press the Stop
button 
in the Digitizer window to release the digitizer
feature from the mouse.
The Digitizer Window now displays the are in squared
ft.
To hide or show the Digitizer area on the Plan selecting or unselecting the checkmark.
If multiple areas are taken in the Digitizer area,
selecting the checkbox will give a total of the combined areas that can
then be used for bidding and other purposes.
