Importing Files

PlanTek supports the following file formats:

These File Formats can be imported directly into PlanTek

• TIF Tagged Information File Format (TIFF) bitmap. The primary file type supported by PlanTek: Tagged Information File Format (TIFF) bitmap

• DWG AutoCad File Format. A file type supported by PlanTek.: AutoCAD File Format

• DXF AutoCAD Drawing eXchange Format. A file type supported by PlanTek.: AutoCAD Drawing eXchange Format

• PDF Adobe Portable Document File. A file type supported by PlanTek.: Adobe Portable Document File

• PLN Doge Plan File Format. A file type supported by PlanTek.: Doge Plan File Format

• PLT HPGL Plotter drawing. A file type supported by PlanTek: HPGL Plotter drawing

• JPG: JPEG Bitmap

• BMP: Windows or OS/2 Bitmap

How Import a Set of Plans into PlanTek:

1. First click the New Set of Plans Meaning all pages within one plan set. button from the toolbar.
   
   

2. Then click the Browse for Images tab.
   
   

3. Now simply browse for the image files on your Desktop, CD-ROM or any accessible media.
   
   

4.  After locating desired file click OK.

5. Now enter your Job/Quote number and description. Make sure all desired files are checked.
   
   

6. Finally, click Create Job.  Once you have imported the files, you can assign names to the pages using the Batch Rename Batch renaming is a way to rename a large number of files in one simple step. feature.
