Unzipping Plans

You can easily create a new job in PlanTek PlanTek is a fully paperless plan management software developed specifically for designers, and integrates with MiTek's eFrame software. from a .ZIP file which has been zipped using the Zip feature in PlanTek.

To Unzip a Set of Plans:

1. First download the .zip file to a temporary location, such as your Desktop.

2. Open PlanTek.

3. Select the Unzip button from the toolbar.
   
   The Open dialog appears
   
   

4. Browse to and select file to be unzipped.

5. Press Open to continue.
   
   The Un-Zip Plan dialog appears
   
   

6. Select Un-Zip Destination:

1. Local On users local machine. Not on network drive.: Creates Job on users machine. Warning: if local is select others will not be able to view the plans on the network Path setup for purpose of sharing plans between users. Typically on a server with a faster file access capability. Not local..

2. Network: Creates Job on the server, allowing all users to use the plans.

7. Type in Job Number.

8. Press OK to continue.

9. The job is extracted to the chosen destination, and the plan pages are now ready for viewing.
